Why does a panic attack occur? As a rule, the main reason for the development of unreasonable fear are disorders of the autonomic department of the nervous system. They can be caused by hormonal changes – this is why teenagers, pregnant women, children often suffer panic attacks. In such cases, a panic attack runs violently, with strongly pronounced symptoms.

How long does a panic attack last? The disease is characterised by a fairly long period of crises. The attack can torment a person for several hours in a row, although sometimes such attacks end after 15 minutes. The frequency of recurrence of attacks also varies – from daily return of attacks to breaks of several months.
