Borderline personality disorder: symptomatology, diagnosis and treatment
Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a mental illness characterised by hypersensitivity, instability, severe fluctuations in self-esteem, mood and desires. Patients with PDP cannot be alone, they do everything possible (in their opinion) to keep people around them without paying attention to their feelings and desires. To this end, suicidal acts may be carried out, crisis situations may be created, and epathetic behaviour may be used. The means are not important when the goal is to draw attention to oneself and not to let go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Early childhood stress, violence, and loneliness can contribute to the development of PID. Often the trigger for the development of the disease is separation from parents (divorce, departure, death of someone close). Sometimes PID is genetic in nature and only a minor event, stress, is enough for the development of the disorder.
